I have met a lot of amazing people in the last year. Many connections made because of Clover. I even had some people who would ignore my messages all of a sudden want to talk to me. Although I have made many genuine connections. I'm a big believer in meritocracy, meaning that one is valued based on your intrinsic value. Not some crazy ARR numbers that have nothing to do with who I am.
I don't fear losing my company. I don't fear getting sued. I don't fear my team getting poached for a better salary.
I fear that some of my friends only respect me because of the name brand behind me, and not who I am.
